# FAQS

# General

Our pipeline will retain raw data for up to 12 hours in the event of emergencies that interrupt processing. This data lives only in a raw compressed queue and is not queryable/accessible easily.

Yes! We utilize various, battle-tested 3rd parties to build our product and ensure that in every possible scenario, encryption is enabled both in transit and at rest.

# Limits

Some, yes, but ideally, you won't notice. One of the motivating factors behind Aggregations.io was to remove any burdon of thinking about cardinality. Read more about cardinality here

You can add up to 10 aggregations per filter. Each aggregation can contain 1-6 calculations, so you don't need to worry about separate aggregations for Counts vs Sums etc.

You can enable overages for your account, which will grant you an additional 10% events each time you exceed the threshold, and are billed at a 10% premium. This charge will appear on your following month's invoice. If overages are not enabled, and you do not upgrade your plan appropriately, events over your plan limit will be dropped.

Absolutely! Admins of the organization will receive an email when your usage surpasses 50%, 75% & 90% of your event count.

# Filters

A filter is the building block for your real-time aggregation. It defines what data matters, how you want to group your aggregations and at what interval. Learn more here

When a filter is deleted, Aggregations.io will stop producing its aggregations results. This will not instantly delete the existing aggregation's results. Existing results will remain available for consumption, but new results will not be produced.

# JPath

Most issues will be solved by using JPath bracket notation. For more details see JPath Complex Payloads

# Grafana

Yes!

Grafana utilizes the Metrics API and conforms to its same rate limits. Note that each call for variable values applies to this rate limit as well.

Yes again! The grafana plugin is open source and the code can be found on GitHub. You may notice some differences from the documented APIs - there are some optimizations made specifically for Grafana there.

# Plans & Billing

If you need to ingest a substantial amount of events or have particular requirements, we may be able to work something out. Get in touch

Aggregations.io will not allow you to downgrade the number of filters in your plan until you decrease your filters to the amount you want to downgrade to. For example, if you have 35 active filters and want to downgrade your plan to 30, you must delete 5 filters. On the change plan prompt, you will see a tool tip that tells you how many active filters you currently have.

Your metrics data will be deleted 30 days after your current active.
